Inspire and Inform Bullseye Conference

3rd February 2009
9.00 am - 5.00pm Riverside Room, National Glass Centre

Institute for International Research in Glass in partnership with the National Glass Centre and Bullseye Glass Ltd. invited to a one day series of lectures by international artists - all of whom work with kiln-formed glass. The lecture programme provided an opportunity for students, practicing artists, glass experts and wider public, to hear distinguished artists Richard Whiteley and Heike Brachlow talk in depth about their work and working methods. The conference took the form of two three hours sessions, one devoted to conceptual approaches and other to technical matters.

Richard Whiteley is Head of the Glass Workshop at the Canberra School of Art, Australian National University, and Heike Brachlow is a graduate of London's Royal College of Art and is presently conducting PhD research into color in glass.

Bullseye is not only a leading glass producer, but is also a respected promoter of glass art worldwide through the quality production of colored glass for art and architecture, research and education, and the presentation of innovative glass art.
